The glider canopy that is purchased to go as a replacement for the Deluxe Garden Glider is not made to be waterproof. They are there to minimize sun exposure but I wouldn't sit under then in a storm. Light rain would probably be shed off of the canopy but if it rains hard, it's going to get you wet from the sides anyway. There are a couple of the fabrics that are not waterproof at all and we indicated that in the specifications. They do not have any venting at the top so airflow would come from the sides of your glider and not through the canopy.
