This umbrella stand is not made to ocommidate a cantilever umbrella. You also shouldn't use it with a free standing market umbrella. These stands are specifically made to use as an umbrella stabilizer when put through a dining table. It's low profile doesn't compete with table legs.
There are specific bases made for cantilever umbrellas and with free standing market umbrellas you want a minimum of a 50Lb base to keep it from easily blowing over.
